An interesting interview with the authors of a new book.
"Professors John Earl Haynes and Harvey Klehr have written a new book, In Denial: Historians, Communism, and Espionage, which demonstrates how the leftist academic establishment has ignored, denied and distorted the evidence that has come out of the former Soviet archives about the Cold War and American communism."
I can anectdotally support the authors' experience with willful ignorance on the part of leftists, although not in academia. I see it all the time among my Left Coast friends. Just a few days ago, a friend of mine pulled out the old "Communism can't be said to have failed, because it's never been tried" canard. Sorry bubba, it failed to work because it failed to work, as all Utopian ideologies are fated to fail. Fortunately, weight of evidence is making it easier for me to speak up when confronted with that particular brand of crap.
